CSC PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education: Bachelor's degree relevant to the job

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience

Training: 4 hours of relevant training

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education: Bachelor's degree relevant to the job or any social science courses

Experience: At least 2 years of experience relevant to personnel administration, e.g payroll voucher preparation, leave computation and processing of terminal leave, including preparation of personnel reports, communications, etc.

Training: 16 hours of training of relevant to personnel administration

Eligibility: Preferably Career service (Professional); Second Level Eligibility

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

  1. Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Access)
  2. Possesses good interpersonal skills
  3. Willing to work beyond office hours, Saturdays and holidays as needed
  4. Proficient in written communication

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under direction and with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, performs somewhat difficult responsible professional work requiring training, considerable experience and knowledge along personnel administration.

 

Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains and updates PSIPOP of assigned Field Offices (FOs) for generating required statistical data;
  2. Draft announcements/actions regarding personnel matters
  3. Assist in the conduct of research studies/data gathering and prepare write-ups and statistical reports;
  4. Processes the following:
  • Application for leave of Regional Directors and Assistant Regional Directors and updates earned leave credits of employees/officials for assigned FOs;
  • Application for monetization of leave credits of FOs
  1. Computes Terminal Leave Benefits of Central Office employees and assigned FO's and prepares ALOBS/Voucher for Retirement (RA 1616);
  2. Provides secretariat service;
  3. Provides technical assistance to Regional Personnel Unit Staff and lower level staff at Central Office (CO) on personnel matters; and
  4. Does other related tasks as maybe assigned
